Park Hotel Alexandra’s The Carvery

Park Hotel Alexandra CNY 2018 - Roasts at The Carvery

Chinese New Year is that time of the year when you have to treat yourself to an exceptionally indulgent meal. I mean, you have to start the year right, right? The Carvery, Park Hotel Alexandra’s stalwart restaurant, is rolling out an impressive spread of seasonal roasts specially for the new year.

Only available for dinner on Chinese New Year’s Eve and the first three days of Chinese New Year, the Marmite Pork OP Rib is not to be missed. The Carvery does a lavish version of this local zi char delight, using premium bone-in Iberico OP ribs. These ribs are marinated for a day in a mixture of Marmite, honey and Worcestershire sauce, before they are roasted and then glazed with another sticky, glorious layer of house-made Marmite.

The Szechuan Spiced Roast Leg of Lamb is a treat for those who are fans of everything “ma la”. Other interesting additions to the All-You-Can-Eat Prosperous Roasts include Kumquat Chicken, which is steam baked in cellophane paper, as well as the incredibly delicious Crispy Pork Belly, which is wrapped in crisp crackling. During this period, lunch at The Carvery is priced from $46++, and dinner from $58++.

Ramada Hotel’s Flavours At Zhongshan Park

3Z3A2110-9

iPiccy-collage

Welcome the new year with festive creations at Flavours At Zhongshan Park. Prepare for a year of abundance as you feast on highlights such as Cantonese Roast Duck with Red Wine, Honey Glazed Pork Char Siew and Roasted Suckling Pig with Condiments.

One of the stars of the buffet line-up is the Braised Beef Brisket with Black Bean Sauce. The addition of dried tangerine peel makes the black bean sauce even more palatable and addictive. The Baked Rice with Waxed Meat, Dried Scallop and Chicken in Lotus Leaf, which left an impression, has a light and fluffy texture that is attributed to the use of Japanese rice instead of the usual glutinous rice.

Other Chinese New Year favourites include Braised Duck with Sea Asparagus, Abalone Mushroom and Broccoli, Braised Nyonya Chap Chai with Fatt Choy, and Steamed Seabass with Preserved Chai Poh.

The prices of the reunion buffet feast are as follows
Eve of CNY : $38++ (lunch), $68++ (dinner).
