The girlfriend is getting married soon. I am so happy that she is moving to the next stage of her life together with her first love and I was asked to be one of the sisters for her wedding. Obviously I agreed to it! So we had our first sister meeting at Group Therapy a week before I flew to Melbourne. I have been wanting to try this café for the longest time. I came here twice but the long waiting list during weekends were simply outrageous, so I always decide to eat somewhere else. This time, we came close to closing hours so obviously, we don’t have to wait!

Tucked away on the 2nd floor of a shophouse along Duxton Hill, Group Therapy Cafe offers a brunch and lunch menu, together with homemade desserts .As usual, BFF and I reached on time while the other girls were late.

So we ordered Poached Eggs ($15) to share. Two beautifully poached eggs were seated on thick toast with smoked salmon, drizzled with thick hollandaise sauce. I don’t think you can go wrong with this classic brunch dish, especially when the runny egg yolks were so photogenic. Sorry I didn’t have that shot because I usually just fit the whole egg into my mouth. LOL

When I tweeted a few months back that I wanted to eat all the good waffles in Singapore, many recommended me the waffles from Group Therapy. And since I am here already, of course must try their waffles lah! Thick Belgian-styled Maple Waffle ($9) is indeed fluffy and tasty. I don’t mind coming back for this!

Carrot Cake Bar ($5.50)was rather disappointing. Perhaps because I read some reviews prior to my visit and many of them showed the three layered cake. I was expecting that but it appeared differently. It was studded with raisins, walnuts and pineapple and a cream cheese ganache, but I wish it would be more moist.

Ok lah, its Cappuccino ($5.50) is not bad as it is full flavoured. They also offer Caramel Cappuccino ($6.50) for the sweet tooth.

It is definitely nice to relax on their sofas and enjoying a cuppa while having a good conversation with the girls. Happy to know that the café has also opened its second outlet at Katong Village.
