Naomi Kitchen

The first time I heard about Naomi Kitchen was in the show HDB Tai Tai, where they introduce good and affordable food and services in the neighbourhood.  It started 2 years back at Golden Mile Hawker Centre as a small food stall by a husband and wife team who left their corporate jobs to pursue their dream. 

I like the Mixed Fruit Slice Cake ($3) because the sponge cake is soooooooooo soft and light with thick layers of fresh cream and chunks of peach in between. They are decorated with more fruits such as orange and grapes on top. You love fruits? I do!

Chocolate lovers can try Black Forest Slice Cake ($2.80). Sponge cake soft as usual, which light cream and chunks of cherries in between. The cake is then sprinkled with cocoa powder and chocolate bits on top. I like the fact that the cream and sponge cake is not too sweet.

Naomi makes lovely Fruit Tarts with buttery and crumbly tart base. My favourite is Blueberry Cheese Tart ($1.70 per piece), Mandarin Orange Tart ($1.70 per piece) and Banana Chocolate Tart ($1.70 per piece).

Tiramisu ($4.50) was socked in rich coffee and spirits, and layered with rich custard. You have to dip your spoon all the way down to allow all the lovely flavours to mingle.

They also serve Chicken shepherd’s pie ($2.80)  which is  a flavourful stew of chicken and vegetables, topped with luscious mashed potato.

They have just opened a new outlet at White Sand Pasir Ris B1-16. Note that Naomi only offers counter sales and takeaways.
