5 Drunken Rabbits Bistro & Bar: Entrance

The concept of dining is taken to a whole new level with more restaurants opening in parks. Enveloping the tranquil Pasir Ris Park, is a newly opened bistro & bar — 5 Drunken Rabbits. Opened from April this year, 5 Drunken Rabbits offers an extensive range of western cuisine amidst a verdant and bucolic natural surrounding.

5 Drunken Rabbits Bistro & Bar: Baked Escargot

We started our dinner with half a dozen of Baked Escargot ($12.80) with garlic herbs butter. The snails came in their shells but it was easy to take out the meat with a fork. We thought the escargots was too buttery for our liking.

5 Drunken Rabbits Bistro & Bar: Seafood Squid Ink

Squid ink is a no-no when you are meeting your date. But the boy and I have been together for so long, we aren’t really bothered by each other’s blackened teeth. The Seafood Squid Ink ($19.80) here is sauteed with shrimp, squid, white fish and mussel, cooked with squid ink in white wine, garlic, chilli padi and onion. It is delicious with the sauce boasting a buttery fragrance.

5 Drunken Rabbits Bistro & Bar: Char-grilled chicken

But if you are worried about have a set of black teeth, the Char-grilled Chicken ($16.80) is just as satisfying. In fact, I think it was the best dish I had that night. The boneless chicken is well marinated and grilled to perfection. It tasted juicy and flavourful even when it is eaten without the honey lemon sauce.

Because we wanted to try more dishes, we ordered the combo mix of Salmon Fillet & Char-grilled Chicken ($34.80), which is served with seasonal greens, roasted cherry tomatoes and mashed potatoes. There is nothing much to shout about the salmon. Sorry my photo didn’t do justice to the grilled chicken, but I think it is one of the dishes worthy trying!

5 Drunken Rabbits Bistro & Bar: Jumbo King Prawn

Prawn lovers may enjoy Oven-roasted Jumbo King Prawn ($32.80) in white wine, mixed spices, garlic served with seasonal greens, roasted cherry tomatoes and mashed potato.

5 Drunken Rabbits Bistro & Bar: Classical Chocolate

Classical Chocolate ($8.80) has a crunchy base hazelnut and dark chocolate cake served with assorted berries and chocolate fudge. The dark chocolate cake is super rich.

5 Drunken Rabbits Bistro & Bar: Interior

There is indoor and al-fresco dining. So if you prefer air condition, head to their spacious indoor dining area.
