I am not an adventurer to begin with. Bungee jumping? No. Sky diving? No. Roller coaster? No. But everybody tells me iFly is NOT scary and very fun.

So I tried.
Instructor Jonathon first led us into our training room to watch a video and teach us the correct flying posture. As the wind was very strong in the tunnel, we have to learn some hand signals. For instance, if Jonathon puts out a “V” sign, it means to straighten my legs, and if it was a thumbs down sign, it means I don’t want to fly anymore, I want to come down!
After a pre-flight training skills session, I went to the Gear Up Area to put on my flying gears. For safety purposes, only covered shoes with laces are allowed, no slippers, heels or sandals. You can rent shoes at the counter. All loose items such as rings, chains, ear rings, watches, wallet, handphones are to be kept in the locker. Spectacles are fine, goggles are provided.
And then, I am ready to fly!

The chamber is 17-meter-high, five-meter-wide, you’re free to hang loose, perform somersaults and strike a yoga pose or two.
We enjoyed three skydives in the Flying Chamber. Each dive last for about 45 seconds. For the first two dives, Jonathan held us tightly as he tried to correct our flying postures with his hand signals. One the third dive, he literally bring us all the way up. It feels short before I go in. But I was in the chamber spinning around, I wonder why was it never ending. LOL!

Here’s a video of me flying! Because I was light, the speed of me turning up the chamber was very fast. I felt like I was a tornado! LOL! I was screaming like nobody’s business but the wind was too strong and nobody can hear me! And because I was screaming, and the wind was very fast, by the time I came back to land, my saliva was all over my face. -_-

Before we left, Jonathon did some challenging poses and somersaults in the tunnel for us to see. Amazing!

Neverthless, we completed and got a certificate! How can I be so timid when my friends were all so brave! That aside, the wind in the tunnel was so strong that my hair was all tangled up. 🙁

One of SkyLoft’s house specials is the iPlatter which comprises foie gras terrine, bambini bocconcini skewer, cod pillow, honey chicken wings, sliced parma ham, cheese and toast.

The most memorable side of this platter is the honey chicken wings. It came sizzling hot with very crispy skin.

And we had Chareuterie Platter of delicious cured and smoked meats.

Mussel lovers have a choice of having their mussels done in seven different ways, including Mussels@Sky which is mussels cooked in white wine and chicken essence, Drunken Mussels in Kronenbourg beer and Black Pepper Mussels in homemade black pepper sauce.
We tried the spicy one which was too spicy for me. I would prefer it to be less spicy and more sweet, the spiciness kills the sweetness of the mussels.

I enjoyed the King Prawn Linguine. The prawns were fresh and the sauce was luscious.

For healthier and safer choice, you can choose the Saffron Cod.

Last but not least, here’s Chocolate Griottine for chocolate lovers. Thick chocolate ganache is encased in a chocolate shell.

Here’s a view you can enjoy if you choose the alfresco dining. You can eenjoy the sunset during the evening while listening to the regular performances on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays from locals bands like Jack & Rai, Shirlyn & the UnXpected, Sara & 53A.
