The perfect place to people-watch, newly-refurbished Crossroads Cafe continues its East-meets-West cafe concept while offering a new ribs menu. There are 6 different ribs for you to choose from: Jack Daniel BBQ, Cajun and Garlic, Maple Glazed, Black Pepper, Lemongrass Hoisin Spice, Char Siew.

Jack Daniel BBQ Baby Back Ribs is Chef Matthew’s Signature. It has a great hint of smoke and sweetness characteristic .

Tangy and sweet, this Cajun and Garlic rubbed baby back ribs is loaded with garlicky goodness.

Maple Glazed baby back ribs make the meat shine like a mirror. The ribs are basted with a sweet maple sauce.

Lemongrass Hoisin Spiced baby back ribs with umami notes is a winner for me. We probably have eaten roast duck with hoisin sauce but I never imagine it can be that yummy on ribs.

For barbecued meats, I like it smokey, sweet and falling off the bone. The ribs here did exactly that, they were tender and fragrant. The meat also falls off the bone easily, and sides of potato salad is as well done as they can be. Fortunately, the portion for each is not gigantic, so four of us get to try quite a few flavours.

The atmosphere of the restaurant will be a reason why people return. It is relaxed, noisy and friendly. Everyone’s chilling, which would explain the casual service. Each plate of ribs cost $36++.
