1. Fresh Seafood on Ice

Seafood lovers should make a beeline for the fresh crustaceans including crabs, prawns, clams and mussels as well as oysters. My favourites are the lobster and prawns which are fresh with succulent meat.

2. Great selection of cold cuts and sushi

Seasonal Tastes has a great selection of cold cuts station. It is a smorgasbord of cold cuts, green leafs, dressing and pickles. You can also combine different cheeses with the fruits you like.

3. Healthy Salads… No Problem!

Embracing the Westin brand’s promise For a Better You, you can pair the meats with healthy salads such as kimchi salad and beef salad tossed with rocket salad, cherry tomatoes and carrots. Right at the end of the restaurant, there is also sushi selection for Japanese food lovers.

4. Grill your favourite meat

Take your pick from the live grilling station, from striploin, chicken breast, seabass, prawns, squid, sausages to Singapore style satay. The striploin is seared to the doneness you desire. The roasted barramundi with root vegetables is moist and firm, I am glad I had multiple servings of it. The satay was juicy and well-charred and you can freely smother a generous helping of the moreish peanut gravy.

5. Get.That.Laksa

The restaurant takes pride in their laksa. It is very shiok. The gravy is full-flavoured and well balanced, with just the right level of spiciness and the crunchy cucumber and bean sprouts cut the oiliness.

6. Indulgent dessert and gelato

Given the generous portions, it is tempting to skip dessert. Don’t. Be spoilt for choice with various tarts, pies, gelato, cakes and a chocolate fountain. All the choices, including the gelato, are made in-house by a talented pastry team. We are in love with their avocado gelato that is so smooth and creamy. The brownie is so dense and rich, oh-so-chocolaty and satisfying.

7. Dine with a view

Even though the menu is worthy of attention, I never stop gaping at the beautiful scenery and surroundings. Two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light and frame views of the South China Sea and Marina Bay. Too pretty!
