A Long Heritage Lunch at Edge, Pan Pacific Singapore
One of my favourite words to hear on a weekend is “brunch”. Now, there is another word I love too, that is “tunch”. So in between breakfast and lunch, we have brunch. So what comes between lunch and tea? Tunch.
Edge at Pan Pacific Singapore has recently introduced a four-hour tunch, comprising of heritage lunch and afternoon tea presentation on Saturdays. Featuring well-known hawker favourites, the buffet restaurant features an extensive variety of 30 dishes featuring signature mains such as Homemade Laksa, Bak Kut Teh, Fried Carrot Cake, Satay and more. What’s the best deal? Eat everything at only $50 nett!
Other than that, you can also enjoy some authentic favourites such as Kaya Toast, Portuguese Egg Tarts, Nasi Lemak, Rojak etc. Toast spread includes egg, kaya, peanut butter, butter and sugar. Just tell them your orders and they will deliver to your table.
Their oyster omelette is pretty satisfying. It has a nice starchy, chewy and gooey texture, with eggy goodness. We also like chef’s homemade laksa which has full-bodied, coconutty broth. I wish the bak kut teh can be more flavourful, it was too mild for me.
Desserts corner is always a hit among diners with ice kachang, mango pomelo short cake and a selection of fragrant durian-based desserts. I can never get enough of their durian puffs, sooooo good!
The long lunch is available every Saturday from 12pm to 4pm at Edge, Pan Pacific Singapore. It costs $50nett per adult, inclusive of unlimited local beverage, coffee and tea; $25nett per child (below 12 years old) inclusive of unlimited local beverages.
Oh man, there goes my diet. Now who is going to come up with an interesting brupper (between supper and breakfast)?
