Cupcakes are the best things on the planet. They are so pretty that I can eat them all day long.

Baked by Lace makes perfectly decorated, from-scratch, cupcakes with only the finest ingredients. Lace is a full-time student in SMU. She started baking cupcakes many years back and it is only in February that she started to sell her cupcakes online. Her small business is doing very well that her Dad bought a commercial oven for her. She is also selling her cupcakes at Swirl Art, River Valley during the weekends.

Every cupcake by Lace is beautifully handcrafted and baked using only the finest and freshest ingredients such as Madagascar Vanilla Beans, Valrhona Cocoa, fresh fruit purees, natural flavourings and extracts. Her brilliantly Red Velvet Cupcake, for example, is moist, with a hint of chocolate flavor and topped with lovely swirls of luscious cream cheese frosting.

In my opinion, if you’re going to make cupcakes or cake, then you have to go all the way with the fat and not cut corners. Just like if you want a plate of Nasi Lemak, substituting low fat milk for coconut milk is definitely not going to delicious.

There’s something irresistible about Salted Caramel Cupcakes. It’s just like the cliche “opposites attract”, when two different ingredients are put together beautifully, you get amazing results.

The vanilla cake base topped with a salted caramel buttercream & drizzled with the most heavenly salted caramel is very rich. The cupcake remains moist after it has cooled down. And retains that lovely, tender, moist texture for days – without the aid of microwaves/soaking syrups!

Baked by Lace cupcakes are best consumed within 3 days for the best texture and flavor. Each cupcake is $3.50 with a minimum order of 15 cupcakes per flavor. If you’re looking to purchase a smaller quantity, you can head on down to Swirl Art River Valley on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to purchase them!

Payment will be done via Internet banking or ATM transfer. Lace usually do a meet-up somewhere central, preferably around town, eg: Dhoby Ghuat/The Cathay/Raffles City.
