The white and light wood interior could have tricked me into thinking that it’s a Muji store. The cafe is spacious with a unique seating arrangement, at the moment, where patrons sit side by side so as accommodate more guests.

The menu has a variety of breakfast items, mains, sandwiches, bakes, and beverages to choose from — all with affordable price tags. Even if you’re not a student here, you can still grab a bite at an additional cost of $0.50.

I jumpstarted my day with the Savoury all day breakfast ($7) which has scrambled eggs, sliced mushrooms, country loaf bread slices, chicken honey baked ham, and a small lettuce salad. The fluffy scrambled eggs, with a light seasoning of salt and pepper, were creamy and moist, and went perfectly with the savoury ham. I loved the honey balsamic vinaigrette sauce which enlivened the greens. The cafe also offers a Sweet version ($5) that has pancakes and strawberries.

If you prefer a local breakfast, the cafe serves their speciality Curry Chicken with Country Loaf ($6). You can expect a large bowl of curry with a chicken wing and potatoes, and slices of bread. The thick curry sauce was adequately spicy, and tasted wonderful with the chewy bread slices. The chicken wing was so tender and could be pulled apart easily. The potatoes could be less mushy though.

One of the cafe’s most popular bakes is the Cream Cheese Garlic Bread ($3) which can be heated up upon request. The middle of the pillowy soft bread is generously slathered with garlic cream cheese, and the bread is topped with crunchy fried garlic bits. The charming salty-sweet combination won me over.

I also ordered the Iced Matcha Latte ($4.50) which was smooth and rich.

What’s a trip to a cafe without dessert, right? I ordered the Cheese Cheesecake original ($4.50) — a cake shaped just like a wedge of cheese that has a custard-filled syringe attached to it. The cake was surprisingly light; its texture comparable to that of a Japanese cheesecake. The Lotus Biscoff crust went well with the cake’s creaminess, but I wished that it would’ve been thicker for a better crunch.

So if you’re looking for a decent brunch and affordable bakes, you can consider popping by ITE College Central!
