[ CNY 2014 ] Forest森 – Contemporary CNY cuisine with a premium touch
January 11, 2014
What do you like most about Chinese New Year? When I was still a kid, this was the only holiday I looked forward to. Because I get ang baos and I get to see my cousins. As I grew older, I began to love all holidays because I get to have a break, which is much needed. But I certainly look forward to CNY reunion as we get to eat many dishes with our loved ones. If you are still planning for CNY meal, how about having it at Forest森?
Braised Superlative Imperial Birdnest with Crab Meat and Crab Roe (高汤珊瑚扒官燕) is a good alternative to shark fins soup. Delicate and premium ingredients in superior stock, it was indeed comforting.
Served in young coconut, Baked Japanese Pearl Rice with Seafood and Cheese (椰盅海鲜芝士焗饭) is served with rice crack with Thai dips. The fragrance of the melted cheese and the sweetness of the coconut meat went well with the rice.
I cannot resist the Chilled Coconut Jello with Aloe Vera and Black Pearls served in young coconut (芦荟珍珠椰汁冻). It was not only refreshing, each mouthful came with aloe vera cubes and black pearls.
This Chinese New Year, Forest森 has introduced two 5-course reunion set lunch priced from $68++ to $88++ per person showcasing contemporary Chinese cuisine with a premium touch. Three 6-course set dinner menus are also available during the festive period priced from $178++ per person to $388++ per person.
