Curry PaPa – Curry Chicken Cai Png in Jurong West

Looking to ‘zhng’ up your Cai Png with some Curry Chicken that packs a punch? Curry Papa is the place to be!

I gave full reins to the boss lady to choose the dishes for me. My first plate ($4) came with their Signature Curry Chicken, a slice of Onion Omelette, and a mix of Stir-fried Broccoli and Cauliflower.

Undeniably, the Curry Chicken was the star of the show. The meat was extremely tender and it fell right off the bone. It was a struggle even attempting to pick the piece up with a fork! Despite the curry being on the thinner side, there was just the right amount of spice in it to give a kick to the dish.

Another highlight would have to be the soft potato that had soaked up the flavours of the curry. While the Onion Omelette was relatively thick, it was not overcooked. The side of veggies that added a nice crunch, made for a balanced meal as well.

I also had their Pork Set ($4) that came with Braised Pork, Onion Omelette and Stir-fried Cabbage. Unfortunately, the Braised Pork with Tau Kwa slightly missed the mark for me and I would have hoped for the pork to have a more “melt-in-your-mouth” texture.

What stood out for me though, was the Stir-fried cabbage that paired beautifully with the rice drenched in curry gravy.

On top of that, their homemade garlic chilli that was more on the acidic side helped cut through the richness of the curry.
