Located in the heart of Bangkok, Central Embassy is the new kingdom of superb luxry shopping lifestyle mall. Even though many of the brands here are more for financial elite, there’s still something affordable that suits us, that is the food court / supermarket EATHAI at the lower ground floor. Occupying 5,000sq.m., EATHAI is really huge and we were spoilt for choices!

KRUA 4 PAK
This place is like a Thai food kingdom. Yes, there is not Japanese, Korean, Western or Chinese food within EATHAI. Just simple and delicious Thai food. They have assembled signature dishes from all 4 regional cuisine – central, southern, northern, easan food.

My favourite is Som Tam (papaya salad) and Kai Yang (charcoal grilled chicken). Spiciness is the holiness in Esan cooking so be prepared to drink a lil more water when you eat these dishes. We also enjoyed Goong Phan Oi 9pounded prawn on sugar cane) which has a slight Vietnamese influence. Not forgetting the milk Kao Soi noodle which I had in Chiang Mai before. Prices range from 120 to 500 baht.

STREET FOOD
Moving on to the street food corner, even though you pay a higher amount of money to eat street food, but good thing is, we are eating it in an air-conditioned food court. And you won’t get the possibility of having stomach upset. Prices at this section range from 50 to 120 baht. My favourite is the grilled pork. You definitely must try it! These succulent skewers are real juicy and tender! They even have the kurobuta version!

Of course, the supermarket corner is where I went into crazy shopping mode because they offer so much Thai snacks and cooking sauces! I bought a whole box full of snacks! Not forgetting the Issaya Cooking Studio, a baking school under the concept of creative and private party service.
