We were in Lavender Food Square having dinner and Eminent Frog Porridge was something we could not miss. This frog porridge stall here is the main brunch and has been around for a long time. They are forever having the buy-2-get-1-free frog leg promotion so we ordered two different flavours to eat.
The Frog Leg with Spring Onion (姜葱田鸡) came in a dark, aroma, rich and thick sauce, which was totally full body and tinged with the heat from the chili. The sauce was delicious and it goes very well with the gummy texture of the white warm porridge. The meat was so tenderly done, soft and light.
We also ordered the Frog Leg Soup with Chicken Essence (鸡精田鸡) (additional $5). It is lighter in taste but definitely tasty. I had a terrible cold that night and this bowl of frog leg soup came just right.
I haven’t tried Sinma G7 and Lion City Frog Leg to compare but this is already good for me. 1 pc of frog leg costs $8, 3 pcs of frog leg cost $17 (buy 2 get 1 free), porridge costs $3.
