This restaurant is closed.
The girlfriends from college gave me a birthday treat at Fullhouse Cafe last weekend. It is a very pretty restaurant with luxurious sofa, korean theme designs etc… On Level 1 of Fullhouse, is a bar that offers a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. On Level 2, is a cozy living room like dining area. Frankly, we didn’t like the food very much but the ambience of the place made up for it.
Smooties-Fruities Fish ($22.90) was pan fried butter fish infused with passion berries fruit reduction and sun fried tomatoes. The passion berries fruit reduction was too sweet for my liking.
Pan Seared Seabass ($26.90) was definitely better. It was accompanied with miso cream sauce and tempura oyster mushroom. The oyster mushroom was heavily battered and the seabass was on a bed of spinach which I thought didn’t go well together as the spinach was too soft. Perhaps some cauliflower would be better?
Vongole Spaghetti ($16.90) was different there was a stronger chilli flavour than what we usually ate.
Wok-Sear Chicken Chop ($16.90) is grilled chicken thigh served with mashed potato, daily vegetable and black pepper raisin jus. We didn’t like the idea of adding raisin into it.
I really don’t know why is siew pak choy and dou miao added into this dish. Pan-Sear Dory Fish ($16.90) with siew pak choy, sauteed shitake mushroom and lemon grass cream tasted too healthy for me.
I enjoyed the Ice Korean Jujube Tea ($3.90). In short, it is red dates tea.
Lastly, we had the Waffle with vanilla ice cream which took the service crew very long before they delivered to our table.
Having said all that, though I didn’t enjoy the food as much, I enjoy taking photos in the cafe!
