I walked past Haramiya when I went for lunch at Marutama Ramen. It was pretty confusing when I first saw the restaurant, was it a Japanese restaurant or a Korean restaurant? Nevertheless, there was this nice grilled aroma lingering in the air. So for the next dinner at Central, we decided to check it out.

Apparently, Haramiya is a Japanese BBQ restaurant with Korean dishes as well. And currently, they have 2 yakiniku (grill) restaurant branches in Japan. Their specialty? Grilled meat, of course!.

Meat Platter ($39.99) is highly recommended for friends who would like to sample all the meat choices. But the portion is abit too little. It recommends for 4 pax but the two men can finish them all, and still order the Karubi Bibimbap and Seafood Hot Pot.

The meat platter includes Harami, Karubi, Pork Karubi and Chicken. I like Harami and Karubi most as both of them are well marinated and juicy, though a bit chewy.

I ordered the Harami Dinner Set ($15.99) which has beef Outside Skirt, Rice, Soup, Salad, Kimchi, Side Dish and Dessert.

Each tables are equipped with yakiniku smoke-free roaster. So we won’t leave the restaurant with the smokiness all over my dress.

Seafood Salad ($7.99) is light, which is a perfect accompaniment to the grilled items.

Cold Noodle Soup ($7.99) is my favourite for the night. Because of its sour chilling soup, the soba dish is particular refreshing after a heavy takeout. And there is a watermelon in soup.

Ishikari-nabe ($7.99) or Hokkaido Seafood Hot Pot is medicore, nothing much to shout about.

Will I go back? Probably not, because the food here is not particularly fantastic and the portions are quite little. But if you are finding a BBQ restaurant in Central, this is perhaps worth trying.
