5 Reasons Why You Should Stay in Hotel des Arts Saigon Mgallery
Combining the classical charm of “Indochine Francaise” with a sense of timeless chic, the new Hôtel des Arts Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City is perfect for people who travel with style and seek a hotel that exudes local character. Here’s 5 reason why you should stay there.
1. Right in the city
Conveniently located in the city centre, Hotel Des Arts Saigon is only 2 minutes away from the main tourist attractions, popular bars, local cafes, shopping centres and entertainment complexes.
2. Comfy and bright room
The chic, yet locally inspired 5-star hotel features 168 rooms and suites, stylish restaurants, a rooftop pool bar, spa, fitness centre, garden, terrace, 1 ballroom and 2 meeting rooms. Perfect for both business and leisure travellers. Our white rooms are designed with traditional Indochine elements with a touch of French elements. The chunky windows and mirrors spread the natural light around.
3. Wide breakfast choices at Saigon Kitchen
The all-day dining restaurant offers a gourmet breakfast buffet, an international lunch buffet highlighting Vietnamese cuisine and “à la carte” options featuring local and international dishes. I have stayed in many hotels and I am honest here – Saigon Kitchen serves a very good variety of breakfast and lunch dishes. Enjoy traditional Vietnamese Beef Pho at their live station, eat up all the handmade dim sum, go for the crepes.
4. Best Rooftop Bar
Located at the top floor of Hotel des Arts Saigon MGallery, the roof top bar offers an amazing view over the city while chilling over some drinks. The area is spacious, great for good conversations between friends. From 6pm to 2am, they serve all day tailor-made cocktails and light delicacies on a background lounge music with the most spectacular views of the city.
5. Modern European Cuisine at Social Club
Located on the 23rd floor, the Social Club is an exclusive creation of the famous Super Potato designer. The club offers a modern European cuisine prepared by Top Chef Anne Cecile Degenne with fresh seasonal ingredients and overlooking the city. You can meet with friends over plates of tasty tapas, sip cocktails, sample sumptuous steaks and seafood, and unwind with the finest wines and Cuban cigars in an atmosphere that exudes refinement and savoir-faire.
Locals are definitely familiar with Chef Anne as she was the Executive Chef in the pre-opening & opening team of Sofitel So Singapore. Having moved to Saigon, Chef Anne has presented quality menu to charm the taste buds of connoisseurs. We began our dinner with a refreshing plate of Hokkaido scallop ceviche, pomelo and daikon. The fresh scallops were marinated with lime juice, onions, bacons and tomatoes bring a textural contrast within the dish. The seared foie gras was served with beluga lentils and celeriac. Seared to a glossy brown colour, it is still tasty and buttery within.
I like the roasted lobster, spinach and porcini. Beautifully presented in red, yellow and green, the lobster was succulent and mildly paired with the sweet pumpkin puree. Grilled beef tenderloin was cooked till perfection and served with asparagus and shallot confit. We ended our meal with a tangy lemon tart with marshmellow and ginger jelly. All these dishes may be classics, but Chef Anne has definitely execute well with balanced flavours and beautiful presentation. Opens from 5pm to 2.30am.
