Whether you’re lazing at home over the weekend, or busy at work on weekdays, Deliveroo’s convenient online delivery service brings different cuisines right to you. We aren’t complaining when delicious food is delivered straight to our doorstep quickly.
The steps are really straightforward – simply enter your postal code on Deliveroo’s homepage, and the website will show you all the restaurants that deliver to you. Choose the restaurant that appeals to your tastebuds most, put together your order, enter your address and payment details, and that’s about it! A popular franchise from Hongdae in Seoul, Yogiyo Chicken specializes in Korean fried chicken. There are 5 flavours of fried chicken to choose from – sweet, sweet soy, hot soy, fire hot, and crispy. A set consisting of a dozen pieces of fried chicken, your choice of Korean rice or rice cake, and 2 drinks, costs $29.96. We enjoyed the tender and moist meat encased in a crispy yet light batter, and we believe you will too.
Here’s a heads up for those who can’t handle spicy food – Yogiyo’s fire hot fried chicken really sets you on fire! We paired this with a can of ice-cold Coca-Cola Classic as we felt that the fizziness of the beverage helped to neutralize the level of spice.
Dojo

Dojo sets itself apart from the rest of the burger joints in Singapore by serving burgers with pork patties. The Hadoken ($16) will cater to the local palate. A juicy pork patty is covered with spicy chilli meat sauce, cheese and bacon. Anything with bacon is a winner.
If you prefer something leaner, the Little Dragon ($15) which contains lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and grilled pork chop is bound to satisfy.
Hakata Ikkousha

Hakata Ikkousha offers an authentic taste of Fukuoka, which is known for its thin, springy ramen noodles. The noodles here are made in-house and blanched for just 15 seconds before they are served. Fans of garlic must not miss The Black Tonkotsu Ramen ($17.65) which is armed with a smoky flavour enhanced by special fried garlic.
Ikkousha’s creamy broth is made from simmering various types of pork bones over low heat for over 12 hours. After simmering, a blend of 3 types of soy sauce, 20 kinds of seasoning, and 5 kinds of rare seafood is added into the soup to make it rich and unique. You should also get the Gyoza ($12.30/10 pieces) to share.

As its name suggests, this eatery is famous for their upsized Japanese curry rice. The humongous curry dishes here are perfect for big eaters, especially those who love a spicy challenge. Their curry contains 14 spices and vegetables, and are cooked for two days to fully bring out the flavours of all the ingredients. You can choose your desired level of spiciness for the curry. The Chicken Katsu Curry ($13.91) is enough to feed two, or a very ravenous man.

On days when you feel like feasting to your heart’s content, go for the Hyderbadi Chicken Briyani ($15.90) which is a tantalising mix of chicken chunks and rice in a rich gravy. The Butter Chicken ($17.90) with Garlic Naan ($4/2 pieces) is a crowd favourite and a must-order. Who can resist boneless Tandoori chicken in a creamy tomato gravy and piping hot handmade naan?

Of course, we can’t compare Poulet’s food standard to fine-dining restaurants, but Poulet honestly serves pretty decent French fare. Their star is the Poulet Roti with Mushroom Chardonnay Sauce ($18.08 half chicken/$33.06 whole chicken).
The chicken is brined for a full day in a traditional recipe before it is placed in the rotisserie for a slow roast, until the skin tans to a golden brown. The homemade mushroom chardonnay sauce is just the icing on the cake. The entire combination is a charming and captivating one.
Arbite

This café serves Western cuisine, which includes hand-tossed, freshly-made pasta. To ensure that customers only receive the best, Arbite uses only the freshest, and the best produce in the market. We’re pretty sure that everyone loves indulging in a slice of pizza once in awhile. Thankfully, Sarpino’s delivers to our office! The Aloha Pizza ($21.80 for 10” Reg) sees a pizza crust topped with bacon, sweet pineapples, and 100% imported Italian mozzarella, while the Pepperoni Pizza ($21.80 for 10” Reg) is topped with beef pepperoni and imported mozzarella cheese.
Chicken wings ($8.90) and garlic bread roll ($2.90) are essentials so make sure you add them to your cart too. You get to choose from BBQ, sweet chilli or Cayenne rub for the wings. I’m not sure about you, but for us, pizza is best paired with cans of ice-cold Coca-Cola Zero Sugar! This combination is just a match made in heaven.

Hungry Heroes Platters are not for the faint-hearted. The Nice to Meat You Platter ($62) boasts half rack BBQ pork ribs, 200g sirloin steak, 250g deboned sous vide chicken leg, BBQ pulled pork, mesclun salad and fries. The meats are generally executed well, and will satisfy the carnivore in you.

Ding Tele Shanghainese Restaurant serves up authentic Shanghainese cuisine. The Oriental Wontons with Black Vinegar & Chilli Oil ($8.80) and the Signature Pan-Fried Crispy Pork Soup Buns ($5.50) are great starters. The former is very appetizing, while the latter is generously stuffed with well-marinated minced pork.
Craving for something spicy? Go for the Shanghai Noodles with Pork & Spicy Sauce ($9.50). If you can’t handle the heat, this dish might leave you with red sausage lips. Sawadee Thai Cuisine

Sawadee Thai’s extensive menu features a mix of traditional and modern Thai dishes. The Spicy Steamed Sea Bass or Pla Nueng Manau ($36) is drenched in a mouth-numbing spicy sour sauce. The combination of garlic and chilli creates a pleasant tanginess. The Sawadee Olive Fried Rice or Khao Phad Nam Liap ($16), on the other hand, is the epitome of comfort food with class. The Olive fried rice is tossed with olives and served with chicken strips, fried dried shrimps, lime bits, chilli and onions.

The owner of Siam Society is very insistent on keeping the Thai flavours as authentic as possible. Besides the usual Tomyum Seafood Soup ($11 small) that’s loaded with squid, fish fillet, and tiger prawns, we recommend the Deep Fried Pork Knuckles ($35). The pork knuckles are marinated for one full day in Siam Society’s special sauce before they are fried. The crispy exterior of the pork knuckles is quite similar to that of a suckling pig.
Moc Quan

Vietnamese food is not just limited to pho. At Moc Quan, you can look forward to Banh Xeo ($17.80), a Vietnamese pancake with mushrooms, prawns, sliced pork, and mung beans. It is served with lettuce, herbs and homemade fish sauce. The addition of mung beans gives the dish a good crunch. Their Com Tam ($17.30) consists of BBQ marinated pork chop served with steamed egg, rice, salad, and homemade fish sauce.
