If you think it’s hard to find good food in the West, here’s a stall that might change your mind. Run by a bunch of ladies, the kitchen is busy all through the day. There are two lines forming at this stall – the one on the right side is mainly for Nasi Lemak orders, while the one on the left allows you to order everything on their menu (including Nasi Lemak). Expect the waiting time to be between 30 to 45 minutes.

Since their Nasi Lemak is so raved about, we had to check it out. A plate of Nasi Lemak, with an additional Otah costs $4.80. The Nasi Lemak consists of a chicken wing that’s fried to a crisp golden brown, ikan kuning, an omelette, cucumber and their sambal chilli. The rice boasts a coconut aroma, and the texture of each grain of rice is consistent. Coupled with the shiok sambal chilli, this nasi lemak is so satisfying!

Other hot-selling items on Latiffa Huri’s menu are Mee Rebus ($2.50) and Mee Soto / Soto Ayam ($2.50). The Mee Rebus comes with a well-balanced thick gravy, half an egg, green chilli, and lime. It’s tasty and delicious, with a crunchy finish from the beansprouts.

The Soto Ayam on the other hand, features a clear, turmeric-enhanced soup. A handful of shredded chicken and beansprouts lay atop. The star is the ketupat (rice cakes) that has absorbed the flavours from the soup. It has a nice soft texture, but is not mushy. Don’t be deceived by the clear soup though. It actually packs quite a fiery punch!

We’re pretty sure some residents living nearby are already loyal fans, but if you happen to be in the West next time, you might wanna give this place a shot!
