Nassim Hill Bakery Bar and Bistro offers fresh-baked goods in the morning for breakfast and wholesome lunches and brunches with unique all day cocktails. Angie was in Singapore for a short holiday, so I had brunch with her at this lovely bakery.

If you are in the mood for breakfast, their breakfast menu is available till 5pm. You’ll find typical breakfast items such as french toast, sandwiches, eggs, salad etc. We went for the safest option that day, which is the Hearty Scrambled Egg ($20). Using eggs that are antibiotic and hormone free, the scrambled egg comes with Swiss cheese, French Rosette de Lyon salami or prosciutto and their signature Asahi Kuronama beer bread.

While the scrambled egg is nothing impressive, what stands out is the beer bread which gave a unique touch to the usual. The beer is full-bodied and the hearty wholemeal bread carries the beer’s distinctive caramel aftertaste. I can’t stop after one slice!

Something with asian touch is the Chilli crab pasta ($16 for 1/2 portion). The pasta is generously drenched with thick chilly crab gravy. It’s pretty spicy, I wished it to be sweeter.

The crispy Wholemeal Belgian Waffle ($17) is served with juicy Beerbeiser sausage. unfortunately. I am not a fan of its dense texture. Should have tried the french toast baked with in-house almond brioche.

Ending my brunch with a cup of cappuccino ($6).

If you have following me very closely, you should have seen the streak of green and purple strand on my head. That’s right, I did a request to my favourite hairstylist, Phyllis, to add abit of colours on my head. So Phyllis did some crazy colours on just a few strands of my hair which I love it very much!

Phyllis has moved on to Pavo Hair Studio which is a very posh looking hair salon along Nassim Road (and very near to Nassim Hill Bakery). The Pavo team are all under the tutelage of Kim Robinson. They are very professional and know exactly what colors work perfectly for my hair. The hair wash comes with a very shiok massage.

The team is expert in protecting my hair from the high humidity in Singapore. My green and purple hair last very well and with appropriate treatment, I can go out in the sun without feeling any dryness. Perhaps I will try a new hairstyle soon!
