Although I am not a fan of chocolate, I am a die hard fan of Milo. My very first memory of Milo was during my primary school’s sports day where pupils queued up to collect their cups of Milo drinks from the Milo Vans. We were always very happy to receive the cup of cold Milo on such a humid weather! Since then, Milo has become my daily beverage for breakfast.
Do you know how was Milo produced? According to Wikipedia:
In 1934, a NESTLÉ industrial chemist and inventor Thomas Mayne developed Milo and launched it at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Milo began production at the plant located in Smithtown, near Kempsey on the North Coast of New South Wales. The name was derived from the famous Greek athlete Milo of Crotona, after his legendary strength.
As part of NESTLÉ’s continued journey to be the leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness company, they are presenting for the third consecutive year, Health & You 2011- Singapore’s biggest health and wellness event happening at Suntec Singapore Hall 402-404, on 27th & 28th August from 10am to 8pm.

There is even the famous chocolate bar Kit Kat! For most of its life, Kit Kat has appeared in a red and white wrapper. Do you know, it did, however, change to a blue wrapper in 1945, when it was produced with a plain chocolate covering due to shortages of milk after the war. This blue livery was withdrawn in 1947 when the standard milk chocolate Kit Kat was reintroduced.
Breakfast cereals make an important contribution to nutrient intake. According to research, people who eat breakfast cereal with milk (including pre-sweetened cereals) have a significantly greater intake of key nutrients such as fibre, calcium, iron and B vitamins than those who do not. If you are a breakfast cereal person, Uncle Tobys is definitely not a stranger to you.
