Colleague was craving for Thai food after reading my post on First Thai. So, we googled for a Thai eatery near our workplace and we ended up in Ont Authentic Thai Cuisine (Facebook here) at Ang Mo Kio. It is in a far corner of Ang Mo Kio (in the same neighborhood as Pine Garden Bakery) and can be quite a difficult find.

You find chunky pieces of batang fish in Thai Seafood Otah ($6), enjoy some sweetness of coconut and the entity not lacking the spice altogether.

The distinctive sour and spicy flavours of Tom Yam never fails to excite my palate. Tom Yam Seafood Soup ($8) is authentically sour and spicy, I enjoy the fresh prawns in the clear soup.

Sometimes nothing hits the spot like a good, spicy curry. Green Curry Chicken ($8) is thick, creamy and spicy, goes well with rice.

I would expect the Pineapple Fried Rice ($5) to have more ingredients. Adding sausages to the dish is not something I enjoy.

Pad Thai is the classic Thai noodle dish with sweet, tangy and complex flavors which make it a favorite throughout Thailand. The Pad Thai ($5) here is my top recommended list. It is very fragrant and flavorful, with the wok hei smell. The noodles are moist and fry to perfection.

The orange color in Thai Milk Tea ($2.80) has appealed to people who love the sweet and creamy taste. But I find it too sweet.
Overall, I felt Ont Authentic Thai Cuisine lived up to its name of providing authentic ‘home cooked’ style Thai food. The place makes a nice neighbourhood stopover.
