Lime Restaurant at PARKROYAL on Pickering is rolling out a brand new festive menu for the upcoming holidays. Are you ready to for your palate to be dazzled?

For the month of December, the buffet spread at Lime will include holiday delights such as roasted turkey, salmon tartare and crayfish salad.

To get you ready for a fantastic dinner, the restaurant has concocted an exclusive welcome drink, Jiggly Lime. Made with matcha powder, cultured milk, ginger, honey and lemon, this carbonated bright green drink is served with a slice of dehydrated lemon on top. Refreshing and unique, the drink tasted like honey soda water, with a slight hint of lemon.

The holidays are never complete without turkey. Lime Restaurant does its version of roast turkey with giblet gravy and cranberry sauce. The turkey’s apple stuffing gave the meat a nice fruity aroma.

We enjoyed the Scallop Gratinated with Lemon Pepper Hollandaise Sauce. The scallops were doused in the addictive sauce before they were torched. This is definitely the way to do scallops – we couldn’t keep our hands off them!

Come Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (24 and 25 December 2017), Lime Restaurant jazzes things up a notch with their lunch and dinner buffets. The repertoire will include the likes of Roasted Turkey Roulade with Chinois Sauce, Foie Gras Torchon with Brioche, Seared Foie Gras flambéed with Cognac, Magret Duck Leg Confit and many other joyful delights.

It’s a slew of celebrations this December. End the year with a bang as you feast on elaborately-crafted dishes on New Year’s Eve. Apart from favourites such as Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Thyme and Garlic Roasted Lamb Chops, and Peking Duck, the Whole Baked Salt Crusted Atlantic Salmon is another dish to look forward to. Watch the chef deconstruct and hammer his way through the crust to unveil the prized succulent salmon flesh. Take a serving, and pair it with the restaurant’s Homemade Garlic Aioli for maximum indulgence.

If you are throwing a party at home and are not quite the domestic goddess, don’t fret! Lime’s festive roasts and desserts are available for takeaway as well. That way, you can still impress your guests without attempting to burn the kitchen down.

Some Christmas must-haves for takeaway include Roasted Turkey ($118 and above), Honey Baked Ham ($98/2.5kg), Christmas Stollen ($28/600g) and Panettone ($35/750g). We will recommend the Celebration Set ($128) which is absolute value for money. The set consists of a 2kg Roasted Turkey, pre-carved and deboned so no stressing in the kitchen, 1.5kg Honey Baked Ham and a trio of sliced log cakes.

What is Christmas without log cakes? Lime Patisserie has created 4 unique flavours – Chocolate Yuzu, Pandan Coconut, Matcha Azuki and Durian Gula Melaka ($30/500G, $58/1kg). We fancy the Chocolate Yuzu and Matcha Azuki cakes the most. They are not overly sweet, and are great for the seniors to enjoy.

Sweet treats such as Gingerbread Cookies ($6/40g) and the Jolly Santa with Cane ($18/90g), also double up as edible decorative ornaments that will spice up your home this Christmas.
