Popiah & Dumpling Wrapping at Ang Mo Kio Community Centre
My aunty is an active WEC (Women’s Executive Committee) member at Ang Mo Kio Community Centre. Whenever they have events, our whole family will go and support. Last Sunday, they organized a Parent’s Day event where we can wrap our own popiah and dumplings.
Popiah “skin” (薄饼皮) is a soft, thin paper-like crepe or pancake made from wheat flour.
Not my first time wrapping popiah and I think I did quite a good job. My mum and I used to go for buffet lunch where we can wrap our own popiah. I learn from there. The trick: don’t be too greedy and your popiah won’t turn squarish!
So happy! My popiah is in good shape! I like my popiah with alot of garlic, so please don’t talk to me after I eat popiah.
Uncle and b talking while eating.
After making popiah, we wrapped dumplings!
This is the teacher who teach us how to wrap dumplings.
