Holland Mee Pok 093

Fishball noodles are very common in Singapore. But many of the stalls do not make their own fishballs. Instead, they are machine made. However, Ru Ji Kitchen at Holland Drive Food Centre makees their own fishballs.

The owner of Ru Ji Kitche, Mr Ng, was helping his brother to sell fishball noodles in Ghim Moh Food Centre. 7 years ago, he decided to venture out and started selling fishball noodles with his wife at Holland Drive Food Centre.

Using yellow tail fish (蕃薯鱼), he beats them into fish paste for an hour before making it into fishballs and fish cakes. That is why his fishballs are so fresh and bouncy!

Of course, My Ng is also very skilled in cooked his noodles. Especially for his mee pok, it was very springy and he uses a wooden chopsticks to mix the noodles with the chilli sauce. When you mix with homemade chilli and pork lard, the end result is SHIOK.

Besides selling fishball noodles, Ru Ji Kitchen also sells nasi lemak, peanut porridge, fried bee hoon and fried kway teow every morning and it will be cleared by 10am every day.

Each bowl of noodles costs $2.
