Stuttgart is the capital of the state of Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. The sixth-largest city in Germany, Stuttgart has 5.3 million inhabitants. It is the only city in Germany with vineyards in its urban area.

From now till 9 December 2012, you can take a peek into vivacious Stuttgart at S-One Expo! Featuring trade and cultural highlights from Stuttgart and Singapore, the Expo is the first of its kind to bring “a slice of Stuttgart” and the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, to Singapore.

The Marina at Keppel Bay has been transformed into a miniature Stuttgart, complate with famous landmarks. These include Schiller Haus and Hegel Haus, two prominent museums encapsulating the culture and heritage of Stuttgart.

Conceived by Stuttgart Singapore Pte Ltd, the event brings together various organisations and business partners who see unique opportunities in marrying the interests of both cities.

HIGHLIGHTS

Visitors can expect an exciting line up of scheduled events and performances showcasing the music, art, cuisines, wines and lifestyles of both Stuttgart and Singapore.

Highlights include weekend cooking and handicraft workshops, where the public can sample authentic Stuttgart recipes alongside Singaporean specialties. The public can also learn traditional techniques of cuckoo clock making, and purchase highly prized wooden carvings made from dark woods found in the Black Forest region near Stuttgart at the Christmas Bazaar.

However, if you prefer to sit back for some lively jazz performances, you will enjoy the captivating vocals of musicians like Claressa Monteiro, Rob Collins, Carol Gomez, Ywenna Carollin, Leena Salim and more.

Here are the timings for the different programs:

Live Band Performances
Enjoy daily performances by various artistes, including Claressa Monteiro, Rob Collins, Jack & Rai, Tribeca Beats, Leena Salim, Carol Gomez and Ywenna Carollin at the following timings:

Mon – Thu: 6pm – 8pm
Fri: 7pm – 9pm
Sat- Sun: 1pm – 9pm

Cooking / Handicraft Workshops
Learn the art of Cuckoo Clock making, Wooden Figurines carving, Wooden Clog making, Gingerbread Cookies baking and more! Registration is available at the S-One Expo on a first-come-first-served basis.

Mon – Fri (1 workshop per day): 4pm – 5pm
Sat (3 workshops): 12pm – 3pm
Sun (2 workshops): 12pm – 2pm

Daily Lucky Draw
Two pairs of 5D/4N Travel Easy Packages to Stuttgart will be given away each weekend. Receive a lucky draw slip with every S$10 spent at the Expo.
