5. Curry Day 2018 by Old Chang Kee

Curry is the delicious, spicy yellow coconut gravy that transcends racial and ethnic barriers to bind all Singaporeans together. It can take on many forms but many will be familiar with the curry paste in Old Chang Kee’s signature Curry Puffs. Do you know that Old Chang Kee does not use the usual coconut milk in their signature curry, but a healthier substitute?

At Singapore Food Festival 2018, celebrate curry at Curry Day 2018 which takes place on 27 & 28 July, from 11am to 9pm, at Velocity @ Novena Square. Look forward to Old Chang Kee’s nostalgic curry items as well as a sweet new treat — curry cookies! There will also be a Spices Corner where you can bring some of your favourite spices home. Besides curry-related food and merchandise, expect educational booths where you can learn about the health benefits of curry and hands-on activities such as curry puff crimping sessions and spice art lessons for children. Pssst: we hear that a special curry puff will be unveiled at Curry Day in conjunction with Singapore Food Festival 2018!
