As the steak specialist in Clarke Quay, The Steakhouse serves prime cuts of Australian Angus beef almost exclusively. Owned and managed by the well-established Singapore-based Esmirada Group of Restaurants, The Steakhouse offers guest a fulfilling meal of only the best meats that are skillfully prepared to bring out its intrinsic flavours and goodness. Take your pick on different cuts – filet mignon, cote de boeuf, ribeye, chateaubriand, tenderloin, sirloin, and porterhouse – and let the steak masters cook it to your liking on the charcoal grill.

Featuring a dark and contemporary interior, the décor at the restaurant exudes sophistication and is great for a romantic night. The menu is straightforward, with sections on starters, steaks and desserts taking up most of it. Try the better-than-classic Caesar Salad ($16), which comprises grilled romaine hearts instead of the usual outer leaves, which does make it better. The leaves are covered with parmesan, bacon bits, croutons and anchovies. But best of all is the 62 degree egg which goes really well with the salad. Deep-fried Crab Croquette ($18) features thick crabmeat filling wrapped in light, super-crisp crust. The creamy avocado and remoulade nail this for us.

Tuck your napkin beneath your chin, have a steak knife clutched in your fist and get ready to conquer the juicy slab of beef on your plate. Specialising in prime cuts of Australian Angus Beef, each piece of steak is char grilled to perfection!

The Australian Black Angus Filet Mignon ($49 for 8 oz, $66 for 11 oz) is extremely tender with an almost buttery texture. Grain fed for 180 days, this is a low-fat cut but very tender pieces. 

If you are looking for something with more marbling, head for the US Prime Cut Ribeye Brant ($56 for 8 oz, $75 for 11 oz) that is corn fed for 365 days. The slab of beef is rich and so full of beefy flavours, you hardly need any sort of sauce!

If beef is not your thing, they also have other options like Roasted Kampong Chicken ($33), Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb ($46), Grilled Spanish Pork Collar ($34) or even the Catch of the Day (seasonal price) featuring whole roasted fish with Gremolata Butter.

Don’t forget to end your meal with their signature desserts – warm Valrhona Dark Chocolate Cake ($12) and Pistachio Tart ($12). The chocolate cake has got nothing much to rave about but the pistachio cake is soft and fluffy. Settle your steak next to a fine wine, long drink or cocktail, perfect for a great night out!
