4.30am, Sunday.
When everyone is still sleeping soundly, a group of us decided to spend our lovely morning capturing the beautiful sunrise at Tanah Merah Beach. Approximately 20 “crazy” (yes, I think we are mad) photographers, carrying our torchlights and gears, met at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. We walked through the forest shortcut to the hidden Tanah Merah Beach.
The rocks were slippery. The journey to the beach was dark with lots of obstacles. Entering the beach was like entering to a different world. There were not only sand and water, we could see dead dishes, heavy logs, can drinks, broken glass, plastic bags etc on the beach.
To catch the sunrise was not an easy task. Besides having to check out the sunrise / sunset app in our iphone, we have to also find a perfect spot for shoot. Unfortunately, we were late this time. Before we could reach our designated spot, the sun has already secretly rose above the horizon. Very sadly, we were all blocked by the trees.
It’s okay! I will try again next time. So here’s a shot of the fishermen starting their work at 7am. Hope you have a lovely Sunday morning.
Here’s a quote from George Harrison for you:

“Sunrise doesn’t last all morning, a cloudburst doesn’t last all day, seems my love is up and has left you with no warning. It’s not always going to be this grey. All things must pass, all things must pass away.”
