The popular vegan leicha (thunder tea rice) stall, Thunder Tree, has reopened in Bukit Batok under a new name — Tian Tian Chi Su! After closing down its organic Fireflies Health Farm in Lim Chu Kang last year, Thunder Tree had to cease operations in People’s Park Centre. However, fans of the MSG- and additives-free food can rejoice now that the stall has reopened with the same cooking principles, albeit without the use of its own farm’s vegetables.

Their passion for sending out good quality healthy food remains evident in every aspect of Tian Tian Chi Su’s offerings — their green soup is a super secret blend of over 10 different ingredients, including basil, mugwort and mint leaves, and the paste for the rich leicha soup is made fresh daily. We love that you can add on their unique yong tau foo with dang gui sauce!

Their bowls of rice are topped with a generous amount of fresh and flavourful mixed vegetable toppings such as long bean, peanuts, beancurd, and chye poh. You can expect nothing short of a delightfully healthy and hearty meal here. For those who prefer noodles, their Thunder Tea Kolo Mee is a must-try. It pairs perfectly with their dry chilli paste, which is so fragrant and addictive that customers even order bottles of it during Chinese New Year! Plus, all the items on their menu are vegan-friendly!
