STRAY by Fatcat

For lazy cats who just wanna lepak their weekend away

Stray from your favourite cafes only for worthy reasons. And I have one for you – to up your Insta game with STRAY by Fatcat’s innovative creations that are unlike any other. Plus, we think the minimalistic design of the cafe is a perfect backdrop for photos. Apart from their highly sought after desserts, go for the Black Pepper Wagyu Bowl ($22, $20 for lunch special. The harmonious play of ingredients makes you wanna sing. STRAY will launch their full menu in February, so let’s anticipate the surprises that will be in store for us.

Picnic Singapore

For big groups that can’t decide on what to eat

It’s time that the food halls in Singapore get an upgrade, and hooray – Picnic did just that. Additionally, if you’re a fan of nature, Picnic is totally up your alley. With so many trees in the forest, how do you always know which one to pick? As usual, that’s what we’re here for! This huge Meatball Pizza ($18) feeds 2 not-so-hungry souls nicely, but you’re obviously welcomed to wolf another down. Lastly, help yourself to some Parmesan cheese to give you that extra cheesy kick! This babe has got a pizza my heart.

The Coffee Academics

For the caffeine slaves who need a perk-me-up

The famous Hong Kong coffee chain has sneaked their way into Raffles City last month, without too much of a big hoo-ha. They have been labelled as one of the best cafes in Southeast Asia, so you know they are serious about what they do. Have a cuppa of their highly acclaimed coffee, such as the Pepper Agave Latte ($7.50) that will brew your mind. Tickle your tastebuds with this unique concoction – raw agave nectar as a natural sweetener combined with freshly ground black pepper. Don’t be taken aback by the weird flavours too early; you might be one of the those who swear by this coffee after a sip.

Patbingsoo

For town-dwellers looking for a quick dinner fix

Seorae made a decision to move their dessert menu downstairs (literally) to their latest F&B venture, Patbingsoo. Indulge in premium k-bbq meats at Seorae, then end off with a Big Bang with some refreshing desserts – doesn’t it sound like a perfect plan already? The Apgujeong Bingsoo ($14.90) is a mountain of cheesy toppings – cheese, cheese sauce, cheesecake, cheese wafer and vanilla ice cream. While you’re there, explore their adventurous menu of Korean fusion food which includes Patbingsoo Beef and Chips (whoa) and Fried Samgyupsal (whoa whoa).
