It’s bento time again! While packing my bento tools, I found a set of Mickey bento tools which I bought many months back but forgotten its existence. So I decided to create a Mickey & Minnie Bento.

I had some trouble cutting out the nori, because the cutter is not suitable to stamp out the nori and my nori has turned soft after keeping it for a few months. So I had to cut out the shape myself using a scissors. If you are wondering why does my Minnie have such a sharp chin, that is because I also carved out the cheese manually for both characters. I was very upset that I lost my minnie mouse ribbon pick so I had to replace with a ugly looking ribbon for the poor sharp chin Minnie. 🙁

It has been a very very very busy week because we have been planning a makan gathering for all foodies and it is happening tonight! Derrick and I have been planning this for a month and there are lots of meetings and discussions to make sure everything goes smoothly and everyone is happy. It is definitely not easy to plan a makan outing. We used to do it among our friends, so there is not much stress. But this time, I wanted to open to everyone we knew and met through our blogging journey, so expectations are definitely much higher.

We thought the response won’t be great so we initially told the restaurant that we will try to hit 30 pax. But the numbers kept increasing and we have reached 64, it is just unbelievable. We thought it is going to be a simple dinner but now we have lucky draw, sponsors and instagram competition! Oh wow! Anyway, I really hope everything will go well tonight.

That’s all for now. I will be doing a giveaway on Monday, so stay tune!

Inside the box: Bread, nori, cheese, honeydew, grapes, biscuits
