The story of Mangiano By CC began in a bustling hawker stall in Golden Mile Food Centre, where fate brought the creative minds of Chef Choo and Chef Teo together. Chef Choo’s passion for Italian cuisine was ignited, when he started honing his culinary skills at the esteemed Pete’s Place in Hyatt Hotel. At Golden Mile Food Centre, he met Chef Teo, who had joined the NEA Hawkers Development Program as an apprentice. Their shared love for familiar and delicious dishes led to an instant camaraderie, and the birth of Mangiano By CC.

Mangiano By CC derived its name from the Italian word “Mangiano,” which translates to “to eat” in English. This simple yet evocative name encapsulates the essence of what the restaurant aims to be — a place where diners can savour the joys of good food in a warm and welcoming setting.

From sizzling seafood-laden pastas to tender slow-cooked meats, Mangiano By CC offers an array of flavours that will delight even the most discerning palate. Among their signature pasta dishes, the Spaghetti Srigolare Doppio Frutti De Mare stands out as a true crowd-pleaser.

I first tried this dish two years ago at their hawker stall, and I must admit it didn’t leave a lasting impression back then. However, this time round, I was thoroughly impressed with the refined recipe. The improvements in the taste department have certainly received a stamp of approval from me.

However, Mangiano By CC has mastered the art of slow-cooking the lamb shank in a rich and savory gravy for six hours. Served atop a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and some vegetables, this classic dish is an absolute stunner!
