Because my staycation does not come with free breakfast, we had our brunch at Amoy Street Food Centre.
And what are they famous for?
 Lor Mee!
It is rather quiet at Amoy Street Food Centre on a Sunday but Yuan Chun Famous Lor Mee is still long queue! I was right behind but they were quick fast and it only took about 15 minutes to reach my turn.

The gravy is thick, fragrant and very rich in flavour with the combination of ngoh hiang, boiled shark’s meat, pork belly bits etc. I am worried about the “Kee” smell of the yellow noodles, so I opted for bee hoon + noodles.
Don’t forget to add sliced chilli, minced garlic and vinegar to the lor mee. Each bowl of lor mee starts from $2.50.

My favourite is still Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee because they put a generous amount of fried snapper, the vinegar was much more fragrant and the gravy was smooth and not overpowering.
