Charles & Charlene Wedding Proposal

After helping out with Allan & Ling Wedding Proposal last year, I’m honoured to help out with my twitter friends Charles & Charlene Wedding Proposal this time.

The planning started many weeks ago when Charles dropped me a message to help him brainstorm for the possible proposal venues. He was in the midst of producing a proposal video and he wanted to find a cafe with a projector so that we could play the video there.

We initially found a cafe that agreed to lend us the space with no conditions (as it was opened by Charles’s friend’s brother). Subsequently, they implemented minimal charges and eventually rejected our booking 5 days before the proposal. We were exasperated and went around sourcing for other alternatives.

Eventually, we called up Once Upon A Milkshake and they have kindly agreed to help. The projector idea was changed to laptop as it was more convenient. So what was the plan?

I told Charlene (the main cast) that Once Upon A Milkshake invited all of us for food tasting. So together with all our other blogging friends, we were suppose to meet at the cafe at 2.30pm. However, she was 1 hour earlier so we one of us had to bring her for lunch to buy some time.

Once she reached the cafe, all of us placed our orders for milkshake / ice cream. I ordered Nutty Peanut Butter (Regular, $5.70), its peanut butter is smooth and creamy with crunchy peanuts.

When all our orders came, the kind waiter brought a laptop and said they have a media video (which is actually a proposal video) for us to watch.

As she watched the video, Charlene then realised that it was a proposal video for her. The poor lady was so touched that she cried. If you have noticed, we wanted to crowd around her so that she won’t realise that Charles was hiding outside the cafe. Our friend behind was in charge of signalling Charles to appear at the right time, that is why he was looking out of the cafe.

When the video ended, Charles and his friends streamed in. One by one, they handed Charlene a letter each, which formed “Pls Marry Me”. Charles then went on his knees and propose to Charlene.

And of course, Charlene picked up “Y-E-S” as her reply and the proposal succeeded!
