This year, the creative and talented team at Baker’s Brew decided to infuse Peranakan flavours into our childhood snacks! They hope to enhance everyone’s childhood cookie experience while evoking nostalgia as you reach for the cookies in colourful and vibrant cookie tins.
They offer five familiar cookies, each with twists of their own. They have Black Sesame Cookies, Tutu Kueh Peanut Cookies, Ondeh Ondeh Cookies, Peranakan Pineapple Tarts (Less Sweet), and Cheddar Spiced Gems available for your snacking pleasure (from left to right). My personal favourite was the Ondeh Ondeh Cookies, which impressed me with its similarity to the actual kueh. The inside of each cookie was packed with moist gula melaka coconut gratings, which is what makes Ondeh Ondeh so well-loved by everyone.
Each tin of cookies goes for $26.80. If you order a bundle of 5, you can get them for $125! What a steal!
