Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel Mooncakes – What are the new flavours in 2017?
Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and create endless moments of joy with a stellar ensemble of 12 artisan mooncake creations that marries culinary imagination and the interplay of the finest ingredients with traditional craftsmanship by Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant’s team of culinary masters.
Making its debut this year is the limited edition Premium Mid-Autumn Gift Set that showcases four Salted White Lotus Seed Paste with Parma Ham, Pistachios & Single Yolk Baked Mooncakes, accompanied with a bottle of Perrier Jouët Champagne (375ml), encased in a luxurious two-tier, gold satin chest. Each chest doubles up as a classy photo frame with a drawer for your beloved jewelry, watches, trinkets, and more.
Taking centre stage with a refreshing take on traditional mooncakes at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel is the new Premium Coconut Paste with Hazelnuts Baked Mooncake ($78 nett). The coconut paste adds a distinct coconut aroma and elevates the mooncake to the next level. Coupled with whole hazelnuts, this is one that you can’t afford to miss.
For those with a sweet tooth, we recommend their White Chocolate with Apricot ($63 nett). The combination of the lusciously sweet white chocolate complements the fruity apricot bits. Packed in a luxuriously soft snowskin, this is the ultimate treat for both young and old.
However, another snowskin that stood out for us would be the Honey Lemon Lotus Paste with Lychee Martini Truffle ($63 nett). The alcohol dominates, followed by a familiar taste of honey and lemon. The white lotus paste boasts a creamy delicate sweetness that’s both well-balanced and delicious on its own.
