The boyfriend loves Sushi Tei very much, so we would always have our lunch at the Bedok Point outlet when I am there. I can almost memorise the whole ala carte menu by now. This is bad, because it means I usually order the same dish over and over again. So when they have some new promotions, it gets me excited much.
Sushi Tei is offering a Spring promotion menu from now till May. For appetizer, we order a Buta Shabu & Tofu Nanohana Salad ($10). Nanohana is also known as Japanese mustard flowers or Rapeseed (used in canola oil). It is widely eaten as a spring vegetable in Japan.
The salad comes with a shabu-shabu pork, tofu and nanohana salad. Unless the usual salad dressing, the salad comes with a roasted sesame sauce. If you are a love nuts, you will like this salad.

I am a fan of carpaccio, hence I must order the Spicy Aburi Maguro Carpaccio ($13). Half broiled blue fin tune was flavoured with spicy carpaccio sauce. It was a pity actually, because the spicy sauce was to overwhelming. It kinda covered the natural sweetess from blue fin tuna.

I had cravings for clams that day, so I ordered Asari Tamago Toji Udon ($14) for my main. The asari and nanohana was topped with egg on udon, they were very generous with the clams.

The boy had a bowl of Kamaage Shirasu & Chu Toro Don ($14). Shirasu are baby sardine that are usually around 1-2 months old. It is a seasonal items as the dish is only caught in great abundance during the Spring season in Japan.
I would say that the menu has quite a wide variety. I would recommend you to try the sashimi, as they are fresh and you can’t find them in the ala carte menu. Oh, if you are a Sushi Tei member, you will be entitled 10% discount off total bill.
